I think it was probably written in the 50s or 60s it's a mystery thriller.
A girl is staying near in a house called Kismet where some odd stuff is happening. There's a bedroom with a picture of a woman on the wall and she wakes up one night and sees the woman from the picture in her room. She later realises that it's a man dressed up as the woman in the picture.
The only other thing I can remember is that the girl says she loves the smell of coffee and would wear it as a scent.
I'd be amazed if anyone can identify from this!
