Any experience of PCOS diagnosed in a teen and what happened? Did they get the pill? Did this help? Did they have other problems such as weight gain, hair loss? DD14 currently being investigated. Has period every 14 days, has and bloods and raised hormones, waiting for scan of ovary, bloods have been repeated.
Any longer terms issues?

I was diagnosed in my 20s having not started periods until I was about 15. I joined a forum (verity?) and found that individual symptoms vary hugely. Personally I’ve always struggled with weight as well as the usual period problems. I took the pil for a few years just to get some stability. I struggled to conceive but do now have 2 lovely children. My symptoms got a lot better after my first child - not that I’d recommend that as a solution to a teen! I’m peri menopausal now (nearly 50!) and some of my symptoms now take me back to pcos 20s me!
