I'm going to 2 events in swindon at the end of this month. I'm staying in a hotel in Fleming Way,Swindon Central. I've figured out that both of the venues I need to get to (Level 3,Commercial Way and The WindMill pub,Freshbrooke) are quite easy to get to by bus, from Fleming Way. What I need to know is; how do buses work in Swindon? Is it pay-as-you-board? Or do you need a ticket/pass in advance, similar to an Oyster card,in the London area? I've never been to Swindon before and haven't got a clue!

You can walk to the first place in 15 mins.
Freshbrook is an easy bus ride and the bus station will be a 5 mum walk from your hotel. No oyster card, but you can buy a dayrider ticket.

I've been to Swindon, and would highly recommend the bus out!

You can buy direct from the driver as well.

I have been to Level 3- you can walk there from Fleming Way

You can buy ticket on the bus - they take contactless card payments these days so you don't even need the right change. If you're only taking one bus there and back again you probably just need to get a single ticket each way. But avoid the actual bus station if possible, it's a dump!
