Weekend Plans?

DD is just starting to get over a horrid virus so we’ve been in a little bubble here, apart from me going to work. Not much at all planned for the weekend. DH making pizzas tomorrow night 🍕I may ask him to get some Christmas stuff down from the loft eg cards, bits & pieces I picked up for possible pressies etc. Haven’t done a roast in forever & discovered a pork joint at the back of the freezer so that’s Sunday tea sorted with roasties, Aunt Bessie’s honey roast parsnips, fine beans & applesauce mmmm. I can taste the crackling now!

I'll start then, I like these threads Smile

We are possibly going to a farm, but weather dependent. DD has a star chart with a treat at the end of the week, hoping it won't rain so we can go.

Also need to put our Halloween decorations back in the attic, and fetch down my feeding pillow as DS is starting to sit up and it might help stop him sliding gracefully down the sofa.

We will also be making our own pizza this weekend for tea! Grin

I have no idea. Really should be going to sort through DD's dad's things but the baby is ill so I don't think travelling anywhere is a great idea. I guess we'll just be staying home and doing not much at all, maybe cuddle up and watch some films.

We have footie matches for the 2 eldest this morning and then I'll pop to b&q for paint samples, then we'll head the the lowri museum for a wander and see if I can get the kids to sketch anything. Then DH should be home from work so there's a Thai restaurant I'd like to try. Tomorrow we'll do parkrun and then have some friends for bacon butties and then it's homework, a party for middle child and we may swim or cycle. Then I'll clear the living room so I can repaint it this week.

DH is working today. I plan to clean the bathroom, but I planned to do that yesterday too (I had a nap instead). Tonight's tea will be leftover chili con carne.

Tomorrow we are doing a tour of the maternity unit I'm due to give birth in.

I really should contemplate packing my hospital bag!

It’s DHs Birthday today. We are going to coffee this morning with MIL and my DPs. This afternoon we are driving to the city where DD lives and having a wander round the shops before going out for dinner.

Tomorrow we will have a lazy morning and watch the rememberance parade etc. Then probably go for a walk on the beach if it isn’t raining.

DH and I have Monday (and yesterday) off so a nice long weekend for us.

Have a great weekend everyone Wine

Football this morning for DS - do quite like standing out with a mug of tea watching him in the autumn air 🙂

This afternoon - kids are off to nanny’s for a sleepover. I have a hair appointment then heading to my friends fancy dress birthday party (we’re going as Tommy and Grace Shelby 😂🙈)

Then tomorrow - whilst suffering the after effects of too much gin - we’re signing out lease on our new warehouse/office.

All in all a pretty good one!

DH is driving for a couple of hours to pick up an exercise bike he's just bought, so he won't be back til lunchtime ish. Kids have sports sessions this morning. They've both got exams at school next week, so need to spend the afternoon revising. DH will presumably be setting new bike up, so I might pop into town to look at sofa cover swatches and get some living room inspiration. Think I'll do a slow cooked lamb roast for dinner.

Tomorrow, we try to do a family run first thing, but could be a bit tight time-wise as DS needs to be at Remembrance service for Scouts by 10:15. We're then at a friends for lunch, so that's the afternoon done.

Working this morning (don’t feel sorry for me as I genuinely love my job and the Sat team are great to work with), DH is at the gym and teenage DS may get out of bed some time before noon. Probably have a lazy afternoon & evening as have a bit of a cold/sore throat. DH already prepped a really nice meal (our wedding anniversary this weekend). Remembrance Day events tomorrow including the newly launched WW1 film.

Oh shit I just remembered it's Father's Day tomorrow (Finland), I should probably do something a bit more than just give OH a pair of boxers

Bluesheep8 · 10/11/2018 09:15

DP going to watch football, the has to work this evening. Going for brunch later this morning then housework for me this afternoon. Will make myself something nice for tea and listen to the radio then watch strictly. Plan to rest most of tomorrow as DP will be home after I'm in bed tonight. Will make a roast dinner in the afternoon. I do like a quiet weekend!

GrumpyOldMare · 10/11/2018 09:25

Work today and tomorrow. Only time I have a weekend off is when I book a week off.
