Do you think (correctly or not) would improve your life?
For me it's a wooden door with a stained glass panel, painted with stiffkey blue paint in Farrow and Ball.
In fact, it would probably be a pain to upkeep and our current pvc door is probably more secure. But I still want it!!

There's a piece of artwork I have been lusting after for months, but I can't really afford it Sad.

ScreamingValenta · 09/11/2018 16:12

Sorry, I seem to have killed your thread!

If I could just stretch my house and make it bigger by a couple of feet all over...

So many things haha

A wood-burner to make my house all cosy through the winter. I am determined to buy one this year!

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 09/11/2018 16:26

I would like one of those monstrous fridge freezer things that are the size of a blue whale and have a computer screen in the front to tell you what's cracking off each week.

I feel strongly that my life would be improved 572% by not having to traipse out to the garage every time I want ice or ice cream or anything frozen. DH says they are ugly and revolting and pointless, and it seems unkind to mention that I feel the same way about him at times.

Paying someone to vacuum.
I'm bordering on hiring someone Blush

ScreamingValenta · 09/11/2018 16:33

Oh, yes - like Idontbelieve I've always thought a fridge/freezer with plumbed in water and ice dispenser would be great. Unfortunately, even if I could afford such a fridge, the space I have for it in my kitchen is nowhere near a source of incoming water.

TheWickedWitchofWestYorkshire · 09/11/2018 17:25

A dishwasher! We wash our pots by hand it's not exactly an onerous task but is a pain in the arse. We'd have to completely rearrange the kitchen though and we just don't have the money. It's also a rented house so paying for a new kitchen, especially when it's already a new kitchen (probably only about 7 years old), is just a huge waste of money.

Friend is selling his Rembrandt £8 million but I really want it. Couldn’t even afford the insurance let alone the actual painting

Dontgiveamonkeys1350 · 09/11/2018 17:35

A cleaner. Which is stupid as I am a cleaner. But by the time I have done everyone else’s houses. I’m to tired and can’t be bothered to do my own. That and like someone else said. Just to stretch my house. Another bedroom and a laundry room would be amazing.

Black glitter DM boots!

Nothisispatrick · 09/11/2018 17:43

I ordered a little handheld vacuum the other day with 80% off through wowcher. I cannot WAIT for it to arrive. The stairs haven’t been done for months as I passionately hate our bulky, heavy vacuum and have been too pregnant to even attempt it. I’ve wanted a little one for months and I am so excited.

GetSchwifty · 09/11/2018 17:44

I want a utility room

Prestonsflowers · 09/11/2018 17:46

ScreamingValenta
There are fridges that will dispense ice and chilled water and they don’t need to be plumbed in

beardeddragon174 · 09/11/2018 17:56

Screaming - what's the artwork? Just curious!

A cleaner. I would love a cleaner but can’t really afford one right now Sad

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 09/11/2018 19:29

Replacing the (ridiculously cheap) polyester filled scatter cushions on our sofa with posh feather wrapped foam ones. But DH will never go for it because:

  1. I've only just bought them (went cheap because I wanted needed several and they're already horrible misshapen)
  2. he really doesn't understand cushions anyway and rolled his eyes even at the cheap ones.

But posh cushions would be just blissful!

beardeddragon174 · 10/11/2018 06:10

Nothisispatrick what an amazing idea! I would love a little handheld.
