Super slim console table - Pinterest confusion (apologies for ignorance)

Will start off by saying that I am unfamiliar with Pinterest. And wonder if anyone can help.

I was googling narrow hallways / narrow console tables etc to see if I could find a super slim console table for my narrow hallway. Surprisingly difficult to find a really slim console table. Anyhow, while googling, a nice image came up of a console table and mirror which it seems is on Pinterest - here is the link - www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/633318766326710690/.

How do I find the stockist of the table and mirror? Or is that now how Pinterest works? So is it an advertisement thing or just people posting pictures of things they like.

Sorry, sorry.

And whilst on the topic of console tables, does anyone have any suggestions for where I might be able to find a super slim console table?

Pins hardly ever link back to the stockist, it can be very frustrating! Sometimes you happen upon them by finding another identical pin ( click more like this on pinterest)

I had a quick google for a slim console table.
Any Good?

That sort of thing (like the clean-ness and uncluttered style) but even slimmer. So the depth of this one is 30cm - which seems to be fairly standard for 'slim' console tables but was looking for may 15 - 20cm.

Thank you very much for the clarification on Pinterest. I thought I was going mad!

That looks very Cox and Cox, maybe look there?

How about something like this? They often have vouchers and sales kicking around too.

Nacreous · 09/11/2018 16:31

Something like this ?

Aridane · 09/11/2018 16:32

A good spot on Cox and Cox - very similar. Though deceptive as the depth is 35cm so not super slim. Amazon has this one at 20cm and they can adjust length etc

LBO - just seen your second post. Now that is slim and chic at 22cm!

(though probably a bit long)

@Nacreous - that is awesome!

Super slim, variable lengths, would fit over my radiator and cheap.

The weird thing is the picture is SO much like my hallway - ie the file flooring and the mat and wall colours - that I thought you were actually posting an image of my hallway with the table super imposed on.

Wish I had posted on Mumsnet in the first place for all these ideas instead of spending AGES googling

Hopefully the quality is good too, always a little scary with internet purchases. So handy that they let you pick width and length exactly on that one too!

Aridane · 09/11/2018 17:49

I know- that’s amazing, isn’t it? I looked on the company’s actual website and it doesn’t give you all those customisation options!

By the way, how did you manage to find this item so quickly? I spent ages looking (well, on and off all afternoon!) and couldn’t find anything as suitable.

And you (and others) find something super quickly!

PS They have very good reviews

I just googled "ultra narrow console table" and it came up within the first 4 results on the bar across my phone where it lets you see the picture from the website. That one was well priced and looked actually narrow!

Aridane · 10/11/2018 02:02

Ha -maybe my mistake was not including ‘ultra’! Some of the so called slim / narrow ones I Googled would require a lot more, space than Imhave

you can also do an image search with the image from Pinterest, and something that helps find the exact item

Aridane · 10/11/2018 08:40

When you,say image search, do you mean putting a Pinterest picture into one of those reverse image search engines? Apologies for being somewhat inept...

I bought an industrial style table very similar to that from Etsy. Was someone called Smoke & Sawdust. I emailed him the dimensions we wanted (he does custom orders) and he built one accordingly. Ours is 20 deep by 80 wide. But lower, so I would ask him about stability. It is absolutely perfect and beautifully made. I'd suggest doing a search for him and asking him.

Moreisnnogedag · 10/11/2018 09:24

That actual console table is sold here

CloudsAway · 10/11/2018 15:19

yes, take the image from pinterest (either the link, or download the image itself) and upload it/paste the link into the reverse image search on google (choose images, and then 'search by image').
