Can anyone remember this book/series?

I've been trying to think of a book I read as a child and I can't for the life of me remember the name - google has been of no help!

All I can remember is it had a girl in it called Lacey/Stacey/Delaney or something, and she ironed her hair everyday (with an actual iron) and she had as sister. I think it was about high school or middle school and her adventures or something. I don't remember anything else!

I must have read it when I was about 10/11 so it would have been late nineties but I'm sure it had been out for a while before I read it. I think it was a series but maybe only of 2-3 books.

Please tell me this was an actual book and not a figment of my imagination?!

Was it set in America (high school)? Or UK? Any other clues - did she solve mysteries, for example?

It was set in America but I really don't remember much else about it! I'm pretty sure there were sisters and one straightened her hair every morning? It's a weird detail to remember I know!

I just remember her doing that before school and going to school everyday and her hair was brown! useless
