Swollen eye 4 year old

Last night when asleep his eyelid looked quite red. This morning it's swollen and red. He says he banged it yesterday in his bedroom.

No bruising. Just redness.

Trip to the docs or just see how he goes?

I would go to the dr. When my DS was 4 he had a swollen eye that came on fairly rapidly, and turned out to be cellulitis that needed antibiotics.
Given that he banged it yesterday it’s probably just that, but I’d rather be sure.

I'd just see how he goes.

If you can get to a Pharmacy, I would ask. I know he says he bumped it but if he's rubbed it and got dirt in, it could be the start of conjunctivitis or similar.

I wasnt home with him in the afternoon yesterday but DH doesn't recall DS banging it. He is complaining it is sore.

Tried to take a photo but it doesn't come out well. He looks like he has a fat eyelid.
