Sahm mum needs a job - what / how advice

I would really like to get some advice as to how to help my friend. She is a single mum who has been a sahm for 6 years. She now needs to get a job, but doesnt know what, or how. Few transferable skills from previous jobs and does not want to go back to that sector. I've kept details minimal to prevent identifying her, but shes extremely down and overwhelmed with life. What have others in this position done? Thanks!

I had 8 years out. I did do some voluntary work at one point and then joined pta and organised school festival (they were too posh for a fete in that area) for my cv.

Everyone does have skills, it's thinking about what they are - I ended up paying £60 for a cv consultation (8 years ago) and got second job I applied for.

Some sectors are more open to giving you a chance, she needs to go for it, temp agencies can help to build experience - my dd did this and got all kinds of postings way beyond who would employ her at 18, then used it to get a permanent job

She could sign up with a temping agency? Ad hoc work; usually simpler admin or reception desk cover. Its a good road in.
