Mid financial year, before the pay rise is agreed, do the first council owe you the pay rise for the time you worked for them?
Sorry if that's not clear:

I worked for council 1 for sat 6 months of the financial year. I've changed jobs and I'm just wondering if I've lost the pay rise for those 6 months once it's agreed.

Maybe they technically do, but I wouldn't have thought there would be much chance of you actually getting it!

I might ask my HR contact from my last job.

The unions turned down a 3% rise today so it's going to end up a good few hundred pounds.
