Used to - every "lovely" but since DD was born I can't handle my drink well enough 😂

Furx · 07/11/2018 21:19

I was a big fan of the Grand Designs drinking game.

cakesonatrain · 07/11/2018 21:36

Ooh I'd like to hear more about the Grand Designs game

Wincher · 07/11/2018 21:51

Fro Masterchef we each choose an ingredient for the season and the other person has to drink whenever it is used. For example a while back it was always black pudding or scallops. Drink on a shit smear across the plate. When Michel Roux Jr was on it we always drank if he said "Pretty as a picture". Also drink when Gregg mentions his sweet tooth.

You get quite drunk...

ForalltheSaints · 07/11/2018 21:59

It is probably less unhealthy than the Withnail and I one!

MrsWembley · 07/11/2018 22:52

Only because it's shorter!

BleachedWail · 07/11/2018 22:57

I do
"Elevate"
"On the plate"
"It's a lovely, lovely thing"

Others I can't remember now XD

cakesonatrain · 10/11/2018 15:28

That sounds v dangerous, Woodpeckers!!

JovialNickname · 10/11/2018 19:35

Don't forget the double shot for when Gregg says either "I LIKE it" or "I DON'T LIKE it" which is all he ever says

InfantaSybilla · 13/11/2018 09:52

When Marcus says 'well done, good job'

When burnt/chargrilled lettuce is served up

When morrell mushrooms are served up

When Monica's eyes pop out in disbelief

When an emulsion is used

When someone 'elevates' a dish

When any ingredient is served '2/3 ways'

I'm pregnant though so not getting the same experience this year Grin

MrsWembley · 28/11/2018 20:45

Mackerel done three ways with a shit streak underneath...

How many drinks for that?

MrsWembley · 29/11/2018 20:35

dontgobaconmyheart · 29/11/2018 21:13

we sort of do this, but more of a Masterchef ( or whatever programme) bingo, rather than a drinking game- if it were the latter we'd be endlessly sloshed, and we aren't really drinkers.
"on a bed of" is said endlessly, as is somebody using celeriac.

TheRhythmlessMan · 29/11/2018 21:24

How do you do the bingo? Can you send a pic of your game sheet?

BikeRunSki · 29/11/2018 21:36

We do Grand Designs bingo (May have to “elevate” this to drinking) as per Woodpecker’s list, with added:

-Unforeseen poor ground conditions
-Borrow more money to deal with groond conditions/foundations/retaining walls to deal with the ground conditions
-Blow entire budget before building is even out of the ground.

We are both geotechnical Engineers ie: engineering with, or in, the ground. Foundations, retaining walls, embankments, slope stabilisation etc
