Help me find a painting please - procession with ladies throwing petals

Hello, I'm thinking of a painting (I might have mixed more than one together) and can't find it.
It's a procession, with ladies throwing flowers and or petals and they seem to be the focus more than the procession itself. They're wearing old fashioned clothes, either medieval or roman or Greek (vague). I might be confused with the roses of heliogabalus by alma tadema, it's that sort of style.
Any ideas please?
I misremembered a film poster in a previous "please help me find" thread so what I'm thinking might not actually exist.

Is it
The Village Wedding” by Sir Samuel Luke Fildes, 1883

dapplegrey · 07/11/2018 19:50

If you google it the picture will come up

MalcolmsBrokenWalrusMoneybox · 07/11/2018 19:53

Thank you, it is not.

I think it's from the a height like "God speed" but more people, very rich colours, and a great feeling of joy.

Is it one of the (many) versions of Jesus Entering Jerusalem, perhaps?

This one by Alma-Tadema?

Is it this OP? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Roses_of_Heliogabalus

I also wondered if it might be this one: paintingswholesaler.com/detail.asp?vcode=VLjtoEDlpiiHDwj5&title=La%20Procession%20Orientale

Not exactly throwing petals (although the woman in white/orange has her hands up and there are flower heads falling from the trays of the boys).

Is it Spring by Alma Tameda?

I think I know it.If it is the one I’m thinking of one of my great great grandmother was one of the ladies. It’s the herb thing for a wedding.

Are they all in white dresses? I’ll see if I can find the one I’m thinking of.

Do you think AlmaTadema is the artist?

MalcolmsBrokenWalrusMoneybox · 07/11/2018 22:31

Fascinating history, Windy!

I think I may have amalgamated a few paintings in my head (or maybe I'd seen a book with a close up of one part of a painting).
I'm sure it's Alma tadema or someone with a similar style.
It could be a mix of Spring and roses of heliogabalu.

I'm reminding myself of the Only Fools and Horses episode where Del is trying to remember the name of a B&B that's the same as a French artist and it turns out to be Schubert.

Thank you for all your suggestions.
