Everytime I watch the films I fall in love with the house over and over. It’s so lovely and big and Christmassy!

So is there a better house??

I've seen the Mrs Doubtfire house in real life, a childhood love of the film meant I could recite the address (2640 Steiner Street) so I dragged DH on 2 buses in San Francisco to sit on the step and have a photo!

For me nothing beats the home alone house, however I do like the beach house in Gracie & Frankie (totally different style) and The house from Charmed (although I would have the inside styled differently).

And I love Kate Winslet's cottage in The Holiday even though it's tiny. That's part of the charm! Fun fact - that cottage was built just for the film (exterior only) even though it looks a genuine 150 years old.

I love Jimmy Perez’ house in the Shetland TV series. It’s on a bit of a smaller scale than some of these but I just love the location, and it is the sort of house I long for.
