How can I name a dark swimming hat?

Please can I have the brain power of mumsnet as bright nail varnish just comes off when the hat stretches! I might try biro but it really is a dark hat (dark navy) .

We do have name stickers but they aren’t sticky enough - I’ve contemplated super glue?!

I'd try a silver sharpie. But I'm not exactly super-mum tbh.

But it's better than sewing on a name tape. Or indeed ironing one on.

You can get fabric pens in metallic colours. That should work.

Silver sharpie works in navy uniform - I appreciate that that doesn't have to go in chlorine all the time!

I've not found anything that copes with the chorine, resorted to receive naming the swimming find every few lessons.
