Just need to share.
Have been job-hunting after a long stint as a SAHM and have found it really difficult and confidence-crushing. In my twenties I felt like I could get an interview for any job I applied for and could walk into any interview and nail it and I pretty much always did tbh. Now in my late 30's I've had lots of rejection emails and have felt like I've had to explain and justify my situation much more and have felt almost embarrassed at my scant CV and lack of recent experience/qualifications. Very possibly projection on my part but still, it's been tough!
Had one not great interview last week which really took a toll on my self-esteem. Had another on Monday which went really well but I was convinced there would be better applicants. They have just phoned and offered me the position 😀.
🍾 and 🍰 for everyone!
(Off to drum into my DD the importance of having her career established before even thinking about having DC!)
