Anyone up for a friendly, supportive WOHP thread?

For those of us who work, parent, care, study and just sort of muddle through life.

Perhaps not so much for hugely efficient, organised high-flyers who find the working parent thing an absolute breeze and never worry about locating a matching pair of shoes.

At the moment my end of day success criteria is 'everyone fed, no one dead, all in bed'. And I can't confidently say going to achieve that every day this week.

I run a small business, which I love. I have two super children, one with additional needs plus a hairy and neurotic cat. And a professionally successful husband, who saves his muddled, bemused moments for the hone environment.

Any tips, thoughts, anecdotes, whinges would be welcome. It can sometimes feel that everyone else does much a better job of this lark...

Both my parents worked full time and were successful career wise but hilariously disorganised. We look back now with huge fondness about the time they forgot to come and pick me up from an airport after a school trip and I was left with the sweaty IT teacher while they made the two hour drive to come and get me, and many other similar incidents.
