At what age can a boy go to the barber alone?

I happily send my 8yo into our barber alone clutching a tenner.

However, we live in a tiny market town that is super safe and a bit like the 50's. They know him.

mine started at 11 clutching a tenner also

My 12yo wants to go on his own. I'm quite happy for him to do so, but not sure whether the barbers would have any issue with an unaccompanied child. Seems not, from your responses!

There are always a few lone preteens clutching tenners at the barbers I take ds to.

Well we live above the barber so I’m not sure I’m the best person to ask for a reasonable response. I doubt the harder would mind though.

There are kids in our village who pop in to the barbers as young as 8.
The barber knows what cuts to give all the village lads already.
