Really worried about my poor dog

My dog is 9, so not young but not that old either. He has arthritis in his back legs and front leg. It’s been well controlled on medication for a couple of years.

The other day, he tripped which isn’t unusual but he usually just stumbles. This time, he fell onto his side but jumped straight up and went running off in the garden. I assumed it was a one off but it has happened again.

Google has scared the ever loving crap out of me. :( I have a vet appointment booked but in the mean time, I’m thinking he’s got some terrible disease. I don’t think it’s that likely because he’s eating, drinking, happy enough and doesn’t show any signs of pain or discomfort.

Oh bless him. It sounds like it could be the arthritis. Def worth a vetsvisit as they might be able to give some anti inflammatory meds.

Just wait for the vets, don't fret too much x

Deep breath, stop googling and see what the vet says. Fingers crossed for you both. (From me and my 9yr old arthiritic dog).x

Thank you. He’s on metacam which seems to help his pain. I worry about losing him, he’s my fluffy baby.

Mine is on Metacam too. Yumove tablets seemed to help a lot as well. It's horrible when they get old, makes you scared, doesn't it? My horse came in fairly lame tonight so it will probably be the vet for me too tomorrow, unless resting it overnight makes a difference.

Ahh bless you op and your little furry boy. Hope all goes well. From me and my two furries, the 10 year old I had had both knees done, most teeth out and is loosing his sight, although to look at him you’d think he was half the age and he eats like a horse and is happy enough Smile
