Is anyone else really struggling to get up in the mornings now the clocks have gone back?

I find this every winter. The lack of daylight really gets to me. It wouldn't be so bad if we had some sunshine, but yesterday I went out at lunchtime and needed my car headlights on it was still so dark and dull. This morning and yesterday morning it took all the strength I could muster to get myself out of bed despite having had a good, solid seven hours of sleep. It's dark and I just want to curl up and go back to sleep, even now I feel so sleepy, and it's going to get worse up on the run up to Christmas.

In the summer I can be up like a lark, bright and early and have loads of energy. Maybe I'm not meant for life in the Northern Hemisphere? Lol.

Yep. I have a stinking cold so that might be contributing but in summer I'm up at 6 with no alarm, this morning it was ten past 7, and had to drag myself up. As a result the morning was shouty and rushed.

So hard isn't it? It's still like the middle of the night here even now. I feel like I'm in Norway or somewhere not the UK lol.

I used to do, I got a sunrise alarm clock. Upped my vitamin d and have felt loads better. This was a couple of years ago and every winter I do the same and it really makes a difference.

Ive just been googling vitamin D supplements funnily enough. I might pop out and get some in a bit and see if they make a difference. The funny thing is I quite like Autumn and winter as seasons, the lovely colours and crisp frosty mornings etc, it's just the lack of light that's a problem for me.

I don't find it makes any difference tbh
Not a morning person whether it's light or not
