Cold symptoms and vomiting toddler? What is this?

So, toddler is sneezing, has temp, sounds like they've got a cold. But is also vomiting. Seems well in self in between.

Norovirus doesn't normally have cold symptoms? What's going around??

My guess is they are swallowing phlegm and it's making them sick.

Forforkssake1 · 06/11/2018 04:32

No. It's definitely 'vomit' vomit. Not phlegm vomit.

It was vomit vomit when mine had a cold/cough too, happened every winter. Maybe phone 111 and get proper advice?

It sounds like a vomming toddler with a cold.
Annoying, but nothing to worry about.

My 3 year old had this last week! It was horrible. GP said there are some viruses that cause both cold symptoms and gastro symptoms. It was definitely not phlegm vomit as you say - because there was also diarrhea. Took 3-4 days to pass. Good luck!

My son yesterday felt ‘unwell’ after school, sore throat and headache. Ate dinner fine, woke me at 1am being very sick and a fever. We’ve not been back to sleep and have just watched moana! I wS thinking the same, none of my kids have been ‘coldy’ AND vomit.....

I’m awake because my 3 year old vomited all over the bed at 3:20 this morning. She also has a cold. I figured she just has a cold and has now picked up a sickness bug.

She’s asleep again 🙄

Seems like there's a lot of it going around :-(

I always feel a bit sick with a cold and sometimes I actually throw up. Annoying but I think it's pretty normal!

Forforkssake1 · 06/11/2018 11:16

@MynameisJune was yours sick again?

Mine was once more. Hoping no more

No only sick once, went back to sleep and woke up fine asking for breakfast.
