'Monster' themed costume needed. Help!

I have zero imagination and zero creativity so desperately need some help.

DS(5) has a dance show next weekend. It's our first time and the theme is 'monster'. Any ideas?

eye headband

tutu

leotard

tights

and then green shoes

Would that work in black with a colourful tutu? We have a black hat with eyes on stalks from ikea and he has black skin tight under layer clothes in his ice hockey kit.

yes that would work :) and you could switch it to green shorts if thats easier
