Minor problem - but absolutely dreading this

I know this is stupid really but just need somewhere to vent.
Every year without fail since having children we get some version of a d+v bug.
I am honestly scared of it. Nights of disrupted sleep, cleaning and washing etc, also no matter how much bleaching and hand-washing I do we all get it. I struggle so much with looking after my kids when I am ill. They are all naturally really high energy and when they are sick they don’t seem to stop they are just the weird combination of miserable and still trying to do stuff. I have a 18 month old who is already an awful sleeper so things like this mean it sets him back and I can’t recover properly.
I am just worrying at the moment as my dh is away for a week for work abroad from Wednesday and I was just speaking with a friend who told me that d+v is doing the rounds at the moment.... I know it’s irrational but I just have this Murphy’s law feeling that we are all going to get it.. Also we never get any notice, it comes on so suddenly.
I don’t know what I am looking for here, if it happens it happens! Maybe stories of people developing immunity after years of itWink. We have all very good diets, good hygiene blah , blah but every year 🤢

Might be the fact that you're bleaching everything and not giving your body chance to build immunity.

Thanks for the reply! The bleaching is not a constant thing more in reference to once one of my dcs get the annual d+ v I try to bleach door handles / clean towels/wash hands etc (standard advice) to stop it from spreading each time but this never works and we all get it anyway....
They are definitely exposed to bacteria and do get the odd cold etc but it’s the d+v which I dread the most every year.
I am well aware it’s a tiny problem though. I was just having a moan as although I have a fantastic dh and family locally I have zero support with my dcs outside my dh. So if I am ill and he’s away I am very much alone.

Why do all that stuff if it doesn't work? Just a thought. x :)

We used to get d+v bugs a few times a year but I think I've had every strain of noro, now, so into the 6 yr immunity cycle & rarely in last 8 yrs, and even then only one person gets it & no one else in the household. I never use bleach, just thorough hand washing in hot water & washing soiled items at 60 degrees. DH almost never got it any time.

Bundle up warm & take them outside if they are that energetic even when ill.
