Current role:
Tiny company - director and 3 employees
Nice laid back atmosphere flexible with things like taking a longer lunch to go to an appointment. But I feel that one member of staff in particular really takes the piss with this but they are very pally with the director so nowhere to go to air grievances about this colleague.
10 minutes away from my house
The work is easy enough but sometimes this is boring and doesn’t feel challenging or varied
There is a monthly commission /bonus structure in place but it’s it hugely generous.
Day to day I really enjoy it and we do generally have a laugh, but can’t see me there forever
I’ve been offered a job on slightly more money
Further away from home (2 busses or an hours walk - city centre location no onsite parking)
Big nationwide company so would lose the laid back nature I suspect.
Role does sound as if it is varied but also potentially harrowing/challenging.
Would gain a lot of new skills
I’m not sure what to do and said I’d make a decision over the weekend and haven’t
No DC, have a small mortgage, if that would influence anyone’s decision
