Range master or Stoves - cookers knobs?

Any advice on the quality and longevity of the cooker knobs on either of these Rangemaster or Stoves range cookers. I currently have a New World range cooker - it was a good price. But the cooker knobs continually break and I am fed up of replacing them. Range master and Stoves seem a better quality oven but I am nervous about buying something again with rubbish knobs.

Had my rangemaster for over 12 years and it's also gone through a house move. The knobs have always stayed on ok and never broken.

Bought a Stoves range last year when installing a new kitchen. Bloody springs fire the main oven temperature knob off regularly. On a range costing over £1000 they want extra for a handle for the grill pan and pester for me to take out and extended warranty.

I took my Rangemaster knobs off to do a thorough clean and the one number faded. I now just clean them in situ (i.e. don't soak or use a brush on them). I was surprised how delicate they are considering Rangemasters are quite expensive. You can buy replacement knobs but why should you have to?

I've a Rangemaster. Dh didn't like the knobs because they have a sticky out bit that looks flimsy and he thought they would always be breaking.

One broke really quickly, so I contacted them and they sent a preplacement. We've now had it 6-8 years and none of the others have broken, so I assume the one which broke was faulty.
They come off for a proper clean too.

I've had a Stoves range for 3 years and no issues with the knobs at all!
