What nice things do you have planned from now until New Year? Tell me your treats

I need inspiration! My partner will be visiting soon and I want to plan some lovely surprises for her - currently trying to find a concert she would enjoy as she loves music but rarely gets to go to shows.

I'm trying to think of other little treats to plan for when she's here, maybe days out to places we haven't been.

What plans are you looking forward to over the next couple of months?

Going to see our local pantomime, we go every year Grin
A concert that I'm singing in with my local choir
Going up to London to see the Christmas market at the Southbank (again, we try to go every year)

Dinner with DH at the lovely restaurant in our village ( wandering home both a little tipsy is a bonus )
Curry with the three wise mums ( the three I actually like from DD's class)
Seeing The Nutcracker in London with my mum and DD
Seeing the new Twelfth Night at the Old Vic with a lovely friend
Our village medieval Christmas market
Two events at Cambridge literary festival
A friends' Christmas drinks party
A visit to London where I'm doing a course, so I'll sneak off the tube at Bond Street for a wander
Two riding lessons
A feeling dog walks with a dear friend
The pants! I love a Christmas panto
Rib of beef and Barolo on Christmas Day. Actually, all of Christmas. I love Christmas.

In the other hand, I have a shedload of work and 14, yes 14 carol services to attend ( I'm a choir mom, like a hockey mum but more bored).

BoogleMcGroogle · 04/11/2018 18:32

The pants! The pants! Of course I meant the panto. But I do also really like pants

I shouldn't really be allowed access to any technology.

BoogleMcGroogle · 04/11/2018 18:35

Even if you are not religious, if you can find a lovely nine lessons and carols service or similar at a large church or cathedral, they can be beautiful. And free, which justifies going for a curry afterwards. The service to welcome in advent at our church is gorgeous.

AbsentmindedWoman · 04/11/2018 18:56

It's so good to have things lined up. Especially now it's dark and cold out.
