Fancy taking my DD who is 3 to London for her first trip to the theatre. Anyone seen it and might it keep a 3 year old entertained? Or any other suggestions? Thanks!

I booked for DH and 6yo DD to go and see Raymond Briggs Father Christmas at the Lyric in Hammersmith, the other option was the Snowman - both look good!

No but I love The Snowman. Saw it as a 5 year old and have loved it ever since. Perfect on Xmas Eve.
I didn't know there was a theatre version and am intrigued to hear more.

I don't know about a musical but this children's ballet version at the Peacock Theatre in London is fantastic.

I would also highly recommend The Little Angel Theatre in Islington. Their puppet theatre shows are wonderful.

We saw it about two years ago. It was ok, I thought it went on. I think it might be too long for a three year old.

We did go see the nutcracker at the Coliseum which kept the dc riveted. There was also a little girl sitting next to us who was about three/four who seemed very into it too.

Ooh thanks Agnes will look at that. User apparently it has been running for years! I love the film so much so I'm sure I would love it, not sure about DD though who hasn't seen the film, I have read some reviews saying the first half of the show is a bit slow to get going.

Also have 1 year old DS but not sure he will sit through it never mind how good it is!
