DH ans I recently started at the gym and I was thinking of getting him a xmas present that he could use for the gym (he hates pointless gifts and this is his only interest at present.)
He has a drinks bottle and wireless headphones. Anything else he may find useful for around £10?

Should say he has a fitbit so doesn't need a tracker of anykind.

Gloves for lifting weights etc

hidinginthenightgarden · 04/11/2018 17:07

He doesn't really do weights. More cardio.
They have those rollers at the gym.

Spotify / google music/ amazon music subscription for music?

Sweat towel?

Pro membership to any fitness apps he uses?

Audible membership to listen to audio bikes as he runs/cycles?

Armband to hold his phone?

RJnomore1 · 04/11/2018 20:23

A PT session with someone who can show him how to do weights then. He will get much more out of it than just cardio.

A microfibres towel definitely a good idea.

A set of clips for barbells so you are never short of clips - I keep forgetting to buy things myself.

ShotsFired · 05/11/2018 07:58

Elastic laces for his trainers?

Lanyard/case/wallet for any gym pass?

Padlock for locker?

Hanging washbag for his shower stuff?

Wetbag for his shower towel?

Box of appropriate snacks for straight after?
(would suggest protein shakes/bars but you said he's mostly cardio)

Rundawear socks are fabulous.

MrsJBaptiste · 05/11/2018 11:10

Skipping rope? My DH has got massively into skipping, the best cardio going - he's dripping after 15 mins. He takes two to our gym, a thin leather one and a huge weighted rope.

Or resistance bands?

jarviscockatiel · 05/11/2018 14:20

My gym has just introduced core slider discs - our ones are by Flo 360. They're useful for cardio and give a much harder workout. You can buy similar on Amazon.

ManonBlackbeak · 05/11/2018 14:53

Weights are the best thing ever, you'll never want to do cardio again once you've started lifting. Trust me on that.

Wireless headphones are good, but usually expensive.
