How not to feel groggy after a nap?

Is there such a way? I’m 37 weeks pregnant and on maternity leave. My little boy goes to nursery three days a week so on those days I’ve been getting up, getting him ready and DH drops him off. Then I go back to bed - some days I can’t keep my eyes open! Last week I slept 8-12 Shock so obviously needed it?! However when I wake up I feel terrible. Sick, groggy and even after a shower I feel lethargic. Is there such a way not to feel so crap? Or should I just forget the nap and get up?!

A sweet or toffee the instant you wake up, apparently. Work colleague told me, works OK.

Try to find out what is your “ideal” nap time. I have found that a half an hour nap really makes me feel better while a 2 hours one leaves me feeling like a wreck for the rest of the day.

Hm that’s interesting, I could try that as I’ve been nauseous! I am tempted to try a 30 minute nap.. I bet I’ll sleep through my alarm Grin
