Or is there stuff everywhere?? I'd love a streamlined look but currently on the main surface is:
Oils
Bowl of salt
Toaster
Breadbin (too small so lots piled on top)
Kettle
Three canisters for tea etc
Fairy liquid
Thing for dishbrush
Breadboard
Marmalade
Nutella
Thing holding knives
Cookie barrel
Bottle of ribena
Kitchen roll holder
Fruit bowl
Loads of bottles of alcohol
Plant pot with dead plant in it
Ornament
Baking stuff - will put this away now
Two boxes of bulbs waiting to be planted
Tin of crayons
Tissues
Pile of paperwork

Blimey having written that all down it sounds even worse!!!

Do I have a streamlined kitchen? Apparently not. I counted 85 things on worktops. In my defence:
a) about half a dozen were easily put away out of sight; and
b) we are refurbishing the kitchen at the moment, so there's stuff on worktops that wouldn't normally be there - tools, a calendar that is normally on the wall, that kind of thing.

Who am I kidding? It won't be streamlined after we're finished either!

Biggish kitchen.

-Kmix
-Joseph Joseph chopping boards
-Kettle
-Microwave with 3 orla kiely cake tins stacked on top (they have baking stuff in)
-tea, coffee, sugar canisters
-2 more orla kiely tins with shit in. Need to sort them
-current eco brick
-Fruit bowl
-compost tub

Too much now I think about it!

Had new kitchen last year and determined to cut down on the clutter we had so now out is microwave, kettle and drainer

OrangeOrBlackcurrant · 04/11/2018 13:53

Kettle
Toaster
Radio

Hate having cluttered surfaces so everything else gets put away

Medium sized galley kitchen. Cooker side: Tea, coffee and sugar canisters plus Sweetex (annoying), kettle, utensils pot, knifeblock, olive oil. Toaster goes back in cupboard. Sink side: pan of homemade soup and a sandwich box. Window sill: washing up liquid and hand soap in a container. Three lovely jugs. Radio and a lamp (from when we thought the overhead lights were broken).

I'm pretty relaxed about tidiness in the rest of the house but am totally anal about the kitchen.
