Breakfast and lunch...

What do you generally eat for breakfast and lunch? At the weekend and/or during the week? We have loads of ‘what’s for dinner threads’ but no breakfast or lunch threads. I seem to have forgotten how to feed myself recently (working from home so less structure to the day) and could use some inspiration!

I’m 37 weeks pregnant and usually have chocolate for breakfast Blush due to morning sickness! I make up for it at lunch and have salad with spinach, cucumber, tomato and grated cheese or tuna. Watching this thread for more inspo!

I’m a creature of habit. I eat breakfast and lunch at work and do 4 shifts a week.
Breakfast is always porridge, lunch is always soup (usually chicken) and an apple and orange.

Pancakes , made with just 2 eggs and a banana

Cleanermaidcook · 04/11/2018 09:00

Breakfast is granola or muesli with a coffee
Lunch weekdays at work in preschool we have to have something healthy as a good example (we eat with the children) so salad or home made soup usually with fruit or yogurt for after.
Lunch at weekend will be beans on toast or a bacon butty.

For breakfast, I like porridge with fruit & yoghurt. Or sometimes egg on toast / crumpets etc.

Lunch is usually salad / soup of some kind.

In the week ( I also work from home)
Granola with Greek yoghurt and raspberries- defrosted.

Lunch - usually make soup to last for a few days.
Weekends - vary loads

I work funny hours & am terrible for skipping meals but trying to remedy that as I don’t want to lose any more weight. If I have breakfast it’s usually cereal or toast but occasionally I like bacon & egg as it fills me up. Sometimes I have leftover pizza or curry!
If I have lunch I’m not very adventurous & just have a sandwich or something on toast.

Greek yogurt with nuts and seeds
Sandwich/sardines on toast/homemade soup/cheese on toast - depends what I fancy.

BuffaloCauliflower · 04/11/2018 10:05

Oo I haven’t had sardines on toast in a while.

Porridge/overnight oats and then soup for lunch a sort of my go to too, but I need to be organised or I don’t bother. I like a salad but I need winter food in winter!

I work from home and try to have breakfast OR lunch - I don’t need both

Usually I’ll eat around 11-12, and have one of the following

A tin of sardines
A small tin of tuna with salad
Scrambled eggs
Fridge porridge

I'm generally at my hungriest in the morning. During the week it tends to be a banana, bowl of cereal/toast/croissant and I have been known to eat my packed lunch on my morning break Blush. At weekends I love a hot breakfast as it fills me up. This weekend I've had tinned mackerel in tomato sauce on toast with a nice cup of tea. I also like kippers with bread and butter, scrambled eggs or eggy bread. I'm not a big meat eater so tend to add grillled tomatoes/mushrooms and potato waffle/hash browns. God I'm hungry! Today I have had nothing and I'm quite cranky Grin I don't generally eat lunch if I've had a good filling breakfast.

BitchQueen90 · 04/11/2018 10:30

Breakfast I usually have porridge and a couple of poached eggs. Lunch during the week at work is a sandwich, crisps, fruit and a small bar of chocolate.

PinkHeart5914 · 04/11/2018 11:25

Weekday breakfast is normally, crumpets/jam toast/ porridge/ granola

Weekend breakfast when it can be enjoyed with more time and dh is off work weekends so it’s nice to have a family breakfast together, full English/ pancakes and maple syrup/ croissants.

Lunches, left overs from dinner the night before/ jacket potato with tuna, cheese or beans, cheese/eggs/beans on toast, sandwiches, pizza, soup with bread, a plate of salad with some meat and cheese

overagain · 04/11/2018 11:29

Weekdays, breakfast is either porridge or a toasted tea cake. Lunch is usually sandwich or soup or salad with a yogurt and chocolate.

Weekends breakfast is usually porridge or bacon sandwich. Lunch is very changeable. Either a packed lunch if we're out for the day, home made soup and crusty bread if we stay in. We often go out for lunch at weekends though.

Breakfast is Greek yoghurt with fruit/berries.

Lunch is soup or baked potato with topping. No sandwiches as I'm on Slimming World.
