I’d like to plant some heather in a window box but I haven’t got the first clue about plants or gardening Blush

They sell pots of heather at garden centre - do I have to take them out of the plastic pots they come in and put them in new soil in the window boxes? Or what do I do? Do the window boxes have to have holes in the bottom?

Arghhh. Please help!! Smile

If they're in small pots, yes I would replant them in compost in the bigger window box. Holes on the bottom to make sure there's good drainage because they won't want to sit in water if it rains.

You also need to get ericaceous compost for heathers you can buy it from garden centres and places like B&Q plenty of drainage as above poster mentioned too. Smile
