Justification for cheating - the best lines

36 replies

spinningworld · 03/11/2018 13:48

This is lighthearted (with a bit of anger bubbling away under the surface) but I need a good laugh.

So finally my cheating ex has moved the rest of his stuff out.

I think the best line he has thrown at me throughout all of this is this one:-

'I needed to sleep with her more than once to make me realise it was a mistake'

It's actually laughable

Some of these are jaw dropping

babysharkdoodoodoodoodoodoo · 03/11/2018 18:09

She forced him to sleep with her.. it was a 3 year affair

elephantoverthehill · 03/11/2018 18:12

'I was rubbing her thigh under the dinner table as she has cystitis and I was trying to comfort her' Hmm. That line was delivered by Exh.
'I thought you'd be really pleased for me, that I got together with her, as you know I've fancied her for ages'. Uttered by an exbf at uni.

It was when I was in New York, I wasn't going to tell you because I wasn't sure if it would work out with her, because she's married and if it didn't I was going to give us a proper go but she's coming over next week when I was supposed to be visiting you so I guess I'm not coming

FabulouslyFab · 03/11/2018 18:17

‘I can talk to her about sheep’

Honest!

SmellySphinx · 03/11/2018 18:19

@FabulouslyFab

Sorry but ahahahahaa

Are you sure it wasn't an actual sheep?!

SmellySphinx · 03/11/2018 18:19

I feel bad for laughing but oh my God!! Grin

Because of this thread I've done a where are they now search

The OW, 8 years later looks haggard as fuck, their relationship I already knew sank after 4 months

He is single, wrong side of 40, no kids. Best friend he rarely sees. Spends a lot of time going to the cinema alone

And I think, if he hadn't been such a prick and cheated with her we could be happily settled with DC now.

It's really quite sad.

Redshoeblueshoe · 03/11/2018 19:37

Funnily enough my X is also now single and I'm happily married
I can't possibly think why Grin

@PawneeParksDept

This is very recent for me. The OW has me blocked everywhere. She objected to my 'investigations' but that's ok, I managed to get enough info on her, BF, and whole family beforehand.

The cheater, we are still 'friends' on FB and IG but are not liking or commenting. I guess I will delete him soon enough.

I honestly thought we would be together until the end. But he will never change, this is who he is and will continue to live his life like it. I do feel very sad for him as it will be a lonely life for him.

Even this morning, he was asking me to try again. I said I could never trust and I wouldn't know where to start. His comment was 'well YOU would need to work out how to trust me again' absolutely no indication of him making an effort to earn the trust back

@smellysphinx - he was a shepherd and she was a shepherdess!! I was a town girl who’s eyes glazed over at his monologues.... Grin
