Warning! DM link

Apparently its finally happening! Without Vicky B, of course!

Anyone else secretly delighted? Blush

Not delighted at all. There are some things about the 1990s that are best left there. It is bad enough that Westlife are reforming, but another bad karaoke act touring is not good.

I prefer music where the band plays instruments and writes some of their songs.

HolyMountain · 03/11/2018 13:16

God no, they were shite the first time around, needed to make money the second time and must be in need of more money this time.

I find Mel B to be an obnoxious twat of the highest order, yes I know she would probably say the same about me, no I don't know her etc , I don't care.

WinterSpiceOnIce · 03/11/2018 13:19

What's there to be delighted about? They were crap back in their day

But now? Assume they need a cash boost!?
All a bit embarrassing and cringe tbh

I loved LOVED the Spice Girls. Had a Union Jack dress and everything. But now as a 30yr old, I haven't got any interest in seeing them. I don't know who their target market is now. Like ForalltheSaints says, some things are best left in the 90s. Didn't they do a comeback tour a few years ago?

LukeSkywalkerBoots · 03/11/2018 13:20

I think it’s lame. Their time has passed.

trumpdump · 03/11/2018 13:49

Great! I'm in with a good chance of getting tickets then!

OP posts:
bonfireheart · 03/11/2018 14:06

Over rated.

GlasgowWorrier · 03/11/2018 14:07

Again? Didn’t they do this a few years ago, after the Olympics?

ShackUp · 03/11/2018 14:07

for all the saints so you don't like any Motown, then?

Livedandlearned · 03/11/2018 14:07

They were a bit pants and I only like Emma out of the whole lot.

Titsywoo · 03/11/2018 14:08

God no! I'm surprised Geri (or should I say Geraldine?) is doing it now she is one of the upper class Wink. It's not like she needs the money.

Loopytiles · 03/11/2018 14:09

Money making. Meh.

bonfireheart · 03/11/2018 14:12

I can't believe that Victoria is up for this either. She looked like she hated it the first time n it's not like she needs the money.

WhyAmISoCold · 03/11/2018 15:44

Has beens. Not interested at all. I don't get this trend of 'Oh we split years ago, music has moved on but let's come back when our previous fans are now all grown up.'

TipseyTorvey · 03/11/2018 15:58

I hope for their sake that the venues aren't embarrassingly empty. People tend to consume music differently now so I'm not sure tickets will sell the way they did for them in the 90s. I certainly won't be going, never minded a drunken prance around a dance floor to their music back in the day but didn't own the album or consider myself a 'fan'.

AamdC · 03/11/2018 16:06

They were never very good with or without Victoria Hmm

Mrskeats · 03/11/2018 16:06

Haven’t we suffered enough?

trumptrump · 03/11/2018 16:29

@bonfireheart

Our Vicky isn't doing it, sadly.

Justmuddlingalong · 03/11/2018 16:34

There are a few small venues available, what with Coleen Nolan cancelling her tour. Wink

justchangingagain · 03/11/2018 18:24

What's to be secretly delighted about,
four middle aged women that can't sing gallivanting around the stage embarrassing themselves. No thanks.

They were hopeless first time around.
We know it's the vile hideous Mel B that needs this to happen, well tough.

trumpdump · 03/11/2018 19:06

@justchangingagain

What's wrong with being middle aged and dancing?

OP posts:
justchangingagain · 03/11/2018 19:22

Nothing just wouldn't want to pay to see it, to me it's like dad dancing at a wedding or something like that. Grin

trumpdump · 03/11/2018 19:36

@justchangingagain

Haha! Fair enough! I must say though, I like a bit of dad-dancing! I imagine there will be quite a bit of it at the Spice Girls' gigs...

HolyMountain · 03/11/2018 20:54

There are bands on our own lists we’d queue for if they’d decided to play live again:

Led Zeppelin
ABBA
Souixsie and the Banshees
The Cure.

Who’d put The Spice Girls on their’s?

trumpdump · 05/11/2018 13:34

3pm..
