Travelling suggestions

Hello!

I have decided to quit my job and go off on my travels again
Budget is about £6k, I’m thinking Sept-Dec next year.

I’ve done the backpacking trail in my 20s (lots of Asia/Oz/NZ/Mexico). Done some Europe. Very interested in Canada, South Africa, India. Will be going solo though, so safety worries me. Mid-30s, not fussed about 5 star but not sure I can hack hostels anymore!

Would love some ideas!

What about western China? Not the east of China and the big cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, but the west - Xian to Southern Sichuan, Guizhou - amazing people, amazing food, start learning basic Mandarin! China is amazing, I've lived there, worked there and travelled extensively there :) Happy Travels wherever you go!

Parts of the US are spectacular if you've not done those. Not cheap cheap but you can do basic motels for reasonable price and easy to do solo/English-speaking. Thinking California coast/Yosemite/Zion/Yellowstone etc.

Thanks both. China sounds very exciting- is it easy to navigate? I confess languages aren’t my strong point Blush

I’ve done some USA, thank you for the suggestion. Yosemite was beautiful, but I didn’t do Yellowstone so that’s something to consider!

The Canadian Rockies. The most beautiful place on earth in my opinion, and i have been to parts of Africa, the Med, the Caribbean, Europe and a lot of the USA.
Canadians are also very friendly and interested in people from other countries.
British Columbia is also great, loads of mountains and lakes and great for kayaking. Smile
