Buying for twins birthday party....

Hello all, just after a bit of advice please.
Dd has been invited to a birthday party for twin girls next week. We have never actually met them but as they live down our road we have had an invite which is lovely.
I'm wondering what to get them for presents?
Id like to get them a present each but probably things they can share as well? Or would you get one present between them? Any ideas what may work?
Thank you! Smile

I probably should have said the twins are girls and they will be 3 Grin

I'd probably buy colouring stuff each or a book each.

My twins didn't really appreciate gifts they had to share!!

TamiTayorismyparentingguru · 03/11/2018 12:04

Please, please buy them individual presents and write individual cards.

I have ID twin girls who are thick as thieves. They share everything and choose to buy matching clothes when they are buying with their own money. (despite DH and I never choosing matching things for them!) They are truly inseparable/best friends/each other’s favourite person.

BUT - they still like different things and we always choose them different gifts. They do have some bigger items which are to share, but these are generally gifts bought by family and only if they are bigger, more expensive gifts that they genuinely both would love and play with equally.

I absolutely agree with buying them separate presents and cards. I was hoping this is what other people would do to Smile
I just need possible present ideas...

Whatever you think a girl of their age might like?

NewBabyNoName · 03/11/2018 14:10

Play doh sets?

halcyondays · 03/11/2018 14:12

Definitely separate presents

ChocolateTearDrops · 03/11/2018 14:12

Colouring books and crayons

thegreatbeyond · 03/11/2018 14:23

Playdoh or crayolas definitely. I'm a twin :)

tessiegirl · 03/11/2018 14:48

Playdoh seems a popular suggestion Smile
I was thinking maybe play food...two things which they will inevitably share anyway

Would you think it's ok to get one something Playdoh and the other play food? Or both the same kind of toy?

Play doh would not be popular here. Hate the stuff. I would say colours/books/puzzles are good at that age. I have an almost 4 yr old boy and I like those types of presents for him.
