MN Law decrees that all owners of personalised numberplate on their car must be twats
They also have more money than sense and are quite likely to also be rubbish at driving, and park in Blue Badge spaces on Thursday afternoons.
I love my Plate, I like the fact that I've had the same number on various cars for over 20 years.

And...
I touch raw chicken without afterwards soaking my hands in strong bleach for 10 minutes.
I also have a loo brush.

Are you a MN sheep, or a goat?

I could class anything I don't need ad a waste of money, but I don't.

I think experiences are a great use of money, for example.

But car plates just sit on your car and you rarely see them. How often do people look at the outside of their cars?

Even people that I know that have them admit that are ridiculous and a waste of money. I want to know why op things they are not.

I let most of these issues wash over me. The only one I can’t get my head round is the spa day.

I can’t imagine anything worse.

"How often do people look at the outside of their cars? "

At least twice a day, when you get in and out?

Some days you would see the outside of your car more often than you see yourself, but you still do hair/makeup/toenails.

The point is that it's something you want and you've managed to get it.

It's you that mostly places value in stuff.

The MN obsession with trans issues massively bemuses me. Not just the GC line but that it seems to be THE ONLY FEMINIST ISSUE IN THE WORLD. I have never been in an environment IRL where it is seem as such a dominant topic of conversation.

ElainaElephant · 03/11/2018 14:39

Hmm, there's a difference between setting something and looking at something.

And you seem to have a real issue with my point of view. I'm not sure why, as I have clearly stated that it's absolutely fine if people want to spend their money on it or anything else. I have certainly bought things that are a waste of money but I'm glad I have them. I have a beautiful bracelet, for example, that was well overpriced (it was from a local jeweller that is known to overinflate prices) but I just love it, and bought it and acknowledge that I wasted money on it, but it was worth it.

I think it's fair to ask the op to justify her stance. I'm not sure why you have such an issue with that.

There isn’t even a consensus on how to spell consensus
