Best furniture websites

We have just moved from a place with loads of inbuilt wardrobes, drawers, cupboards etc to a place with none.

Essentially we are looking at buying a lot of furniture, but it will all be bits at a time as we need to save up for each bit (low income family)

However I want to get an idea of roughly what prices I am looking at. I need something that is good quality for the price, I would prefer as low a price as possible, however I do know that for a lot of the things I am after you are paying for the quality.

Or is there some comparison site I could have a look at, I did have a look at Ikea, but I don't know what they are like and whether the prices are worth it.

None of the stuff we need is urgent, so we are happy to save up and if we can get it cheaper bargain

Thank you

Some people swear by Ikea but I see it as "it'll do until we can get something decent" ie it's ok for a student flat or holiday let.

Unless you're talking about the meatballs, of course. Grin

Thanks Long Summer Days, I am just not sure where to look and to be honest have not stepped into an Ikea, but I have heard great things about their meatballs.

Ideally in the place we are now in, we are going to be here a while, so want to get decent furniture which will last us a while, in the meantime, I am happy to try and get some free stuff just to keep us going.

Its mainly all things like bookcases, bedroom furniture etc, then we have things we would like to have (but have already just really old) but are really low down on the list like mattresses, new computer desk, tv stand, then just random shite that we need but can wait till we are ready
