Dublin wedding ideas - can you help

My sister and her girlfriend are looking to marry in or around Dublin next year. They don’t live there but always loved it and we’re all trying to come up with places for the ceremony - hard when you don’t really know the area.

Would anyone have any help/ideas on lovely places we could look at. There will only be the two of them and then six guests so trying to find somewhere that we won’t feel swamped in number wise.

They would love old ruins but I don’t think we’re going to find that in Dublin necessarily so somewhere intimate and cozy would work.

From that last link - "It's important to note that many of these places aren't suitable for all ceremonies (for example Catholic weddings or HSE-approved civil ceremonies), but they are perfect for self-written ceremonies and blessings. You will need to check with each individual wedding venue to see what your ceremony options are, whether you can have a legal wedding or simply a symbolic ceremony on-site."

So what about doing the legal bit somewhere like City Hall for the ceremony and doing a symbolic ceremony on another site at ruins. The official bit would be done and this would be for themselves and also for pictures.

Have a search thru the places listed and see if see anywhere might be suitable,

Thanks Smurfy, I’ll have a look through the links. Appreciate the help.

There's a section on here for all things Irish - called Craicnet. You'll probably get a lot of responses there.
