Stabbitha · 02/11/2018 17:12

Just found an unopened bottle of Baileys at my mum's.

BB date of June 2010.

It's too late isn't it :(

Well, I'd open it, sniff, then try it. Smile What a crying shame if it goes to waste Sad

Stabbitha · 02/11/2018 17:15

I'm only wary due to the creme aspect

It would be too late for me! But maybe some people would say it's ok Confused

gamerchick · 02/11/2018 17:16

You'll know if it's off. It'll not look right.

Personally I'd give it a good shake and have a taste. Itll taste nasty if it's off.

On Sunday I hand a sip of baileys that went out of date in 2005- it wasn’t great but I doubt it would have done me much harm! Have chucked it and bought a new one!

legolimb · 02/11/2018 17:19

Bin.

But I hate Baileys anywa Grin

mando12345 · 02/11/2018 17:20

I'd drink it definitely if it smelt and looked ok.
I'm sure it will be fine, I fancy a bailey's now!

JosellaPlayton · 02/11/2018 17:21

Baileys can go because of the cream and low-ish alcohol content. However, it’ll be obvious if it’s gone because it will be visibly curdled and smell awful. Only one way to find out though! Cheers!

MrsJackRackham · 02/11/2018 17:29

I'm sure I heard from a colleague (drinks industry) that Bailey's doesn't go off because of the emulsion keeping the cream and whiskey from separating. They're forced to put a sell by date on by Trading Standards (?) but it isn't necessary.

DBN1 · 02/11/2018 17:32

Send it my way and I'll test it for you GrinWink

Pebblespony · 02/11/2018 17:33

We had a bottle that separated. You'll know If it's off.

Darklene · 02/11/2018 17:34

Sniff it and see. The alcohol may have preserved it somewhat.
