How many people actually spent £500 on Asos/Boohoo etc?

You know, like the Youtubers do it?

I'm talking about clothes just for yourself, not a family.

Do people really shop like that? Looking through those sites I can't find enough items that I even like enough to buy several hundred pounds worth.

I do sometimes order things where I buy two sizes and send one back, but even that doesn't add up to hundreds.

I always thought they did it for the views and sent the majority back or ASOS are paying them.

I used to work for an online retailer and return rates are a huge percentage. At certain times of year, it could hit nearly 50%. ASOS have free and easy returns, so I’m guessing their rate is pretty high. It’s an easy way to make a video. Buy a load of stuff, film yourself unboxing it, then return straight away.

Although I do know a couple of people who spend literally thousands in the January sales, so the YouTubers might just have shopping addictions.

Right, but even with a 50% return rate, do people actually spend that much in the first place?

Asos do some premium ranges and sell a variety of other brands too, some of them £££, so that could be how.

As for BooHoo, I'm surprised anyone could want to spend £5 in there let alone £500. Tacky badly made clothes. May as well go to Primark as I think the quality is better there!

Not on boohoo but I've spanked over £500 in one go on ASOS trying to find a dress for a do. I just ordered loads and sent back the ones I didn't want. It was only 10-12 dresses I think

I save up and buy clothes a lot at a time cos I can't be fucked waiting in for endless little deliveries so usually if I order clothes it's a good couple of hundred. I hate clothes shopping basically.
