I'm currently stressing, I was supposed to do my test next week and I'm gutted they have e mailed to postpone by over a month.
I will be very pregnant by then and was seriously in the zone to pass because my mums in the hospital for the foreseeable future and I can't visit her without lifts.
I think I remember people saying on here that there a cancellation website or app that can get you in quicker? I have googled but can't find it. If it's a thing and anyone knows how to find it, I would be so grateful

You don't need to use the websites. You just find out what time your test centre posts it's cancellations and check obsessively. Loughton I know does it between 3 30 and 5.30 so I make sure I'm on there clicking refresh like a madwoman.

This is so weird. Yesterday my husband came back from a driving lesson and said his instructor sais he was going to cancel another students test so my husband could take his test instead husband said not to do this as there's an 8 week wait currently in our area he booked his test for January and last night he got an email through telling him his test will be next Friday.

Apparently this sort of thing happens all the time if the instructor favours certain students over others. My husband isn't all that happy about it but the test centre and have confirmed the booking.

Check with your instructor they may well have done something similar.

Hmmm I am having a lesson in an hour, I will ask. I'm just anxious because I wanted to get it done before my baby arrives as I'll then have 3 under 5 and I need to get about lol. Plus I have to have a Caesarian so that will be 6 weeks no driving anyway and I would love to get it done before

Totally agree with you and anyway it doesn't matter you booked your test it's wrong they have cancelled and postponed by a month. Me and my husband were mortified when we realised what his instructor had done its just so sneaky good luck op x

Is there another centre you can use? A bit annoying as you won't be as familiar with the routes but could work.

There is an app that DH used, I can't remember what it was but you can google it.

Learning to drive is a royal pain in the backside, made worse by the DVLA being the most inept governmental department there is. Good luck OP!

I used this website and it worked well - www.driving-test-cancellations-4all.co.uk try and be as flexible as you can with the timing windows and respond quickly when they contact you or set it to auto accept.
