Just looking for some help, I've searched the queries I have and got answer - but those options are appearing on the page I've set up??

I'm a member of a bridge club and at the AGM this week they mentioned trying to bring in new members, setting up a facebook page etc.
Everyone looked at me (as a new and one of the younger members) and unsaid I had no idea how to do it, we had a bit of discussion and I said I could look into it and asked who used Facebook, answer was blank faces 🙂.

So having looked a bit we don't want a group to communicate with each other, just a page on which I can post a flyer and set up an event.

I will then promote that page via other local community groups.

I have done this but have 2 things I can't see to do.

  1. I've posted a scan of flyer for the group which basically has all the details. I want to make this a sticky at the top of the page but that option isn't there.
  1. I've set up an event for the next night but haven't got the option to make this recurring (it's weekly).

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

But if none of you use Facebook, you’re missing out on most of the point as there will be no one liking or sharing your posts. It’s going to be very difficult to build up a Facebook following without the support of your current members.

I do use Facebook and I post on local community groups, I want to use the post to share the details of the group, via these other community (village noticeboard) groups and also to add a link to non-Facebook community groups to make the details (flyer plus regular weekly event) easily accessible.

I don't want a community for the existing members, just an advert page I can promote to.

That's should say "I want to use the PAGE..."
