Help! Missed period not pregnant.

Hi I’ve been waiting for my period and it hasn’t turned up, I’m really confused because my periods are regularly and I’ve done quite a few pregnancy tests and they’re negative. Has anyone experienced this? Or have an idea on why I haven’t received it been over 6 weeks since my last period. Tia

Are you on any bc? Maybe it’s a hormonal thing... feeling any twinges?

Mammystore118 · 01/11/2018 23:10

No not on anything, haven’t took any other medication or anything and not as such just stressing more but nothing like I normally do, I’m really concerned as I haven’t missed a period before other than when I was pregnant

No answers but I’m in the same situation. Only using condoms, no accidents, three negative tests over the two week after period should have arrived. Otherwise regular as clockwork*. GP won’t take an interest until I’ve missed three.

Took three weeks to get over the “fuck what if I am pregnant!?” abd I can see it’ll be the same if AF fails to show again.

No idea if this is meant to be reassuring or not!

*5 week cycle give or take a week. It’s a really shit clock.

It's normal to miss a few periods in your lifetime. Usually means you haven't ovulated so the second half of your cycle hasn't been triggered.

Don't worry until you get to a 3rd missed period.

Yes same with me I’m not on any contraception we use condoms there’s been no accidents and we’ve been thinking s#%t what if I’m pregnant but I’ve done quite a few pregnancy tests on all of them are negative. I just don’t understand why no period when I’m normally on time.

How old are you?

HJE17 · 01/11/2018 23:31

I’ve definitely missed periods before during times of stress and/or eating poorly. I don’t think it’s wildly uncommon but mention it to the GP if you miss another.

Mammystore118 · 01/11/2018 23:35

I’m 22

I missed 2 in a row when I was about 33. Went to GP and period turned up in the 2 weeks between seeing GP, having a blood test and going back to get results. Bloods were all normal and I conceived DS a few months later.
Not happened since.

Mammystore118 · 01/11/2018 23:39

Maybes but I stress all the time so don’t understand why I’m missing it now but yes if I don’t receive it with the next few weeks I will see the gp, Sorry for tmi but during sex it hurts so bad doesn’t feel enjoyable because it’s like hitting against something in my vagina and so much pressure when I mentioned it to the doctor she said it shouldn’t be like that but it’s ever since having my little one who is now three. They wanted to send me for a smear but haven’t heard anything since.

You should be having a smear, anyhow. Just make an appointment.

JovialNickname · 02/11/2018 13:25

You're not very underweight / have been excessively dieting have you? Being too low a weight can cause your periods to stop

HighlandWorrier · 02/11/2018 15:05

My periods have always been regular but went a bit wonky and it turned out to be an underactive thyroid. Now on meds and back to normal. Maybe worth getting that checked out?
