Ive been referred but the wait is awful and I can’t afford private
I've had a rash for months and it won’t go and I feel awful and look horrendous
So far the gp has tried
Dermol 500
Cetraben
Fucidin
Fucidin h
Eumovate
elocon
Antihistamine
Oral antibiotics
Swabs all came back normal

It’s little red spots that literally emerge before my eyes, wont heal and the look a bit like chicken pox (a few people asked do I have it) mostly on my arms maybe three or four spots on legs

Def not bites. Nobody knows what it is and they are scarring and I feel dreadful. Each spot seems to have a cycle will erupt and get infected, scab over and re erupt and get raised, then go like a v dark blood blister and then bleed and finally start to heal and scar a lot

I can’t wait till feb 😔 I don’t know what to do they hurt too quite deep in the skin

I will ask the gp but I’ve seen 3 now at the surgery and nobody seems to know. It’s really getting me down it’s painful and looks horrible

These are more like actual spots I think they are slightly different as th psoriasis pictures look more scaly these seem to have an active weeping bit that gets infected in the middle ?

Would you say they're a bit like acne? Do they start off as flesh coloured or sore red looking small bumps? If you were to extract the contents would there be a white bit, then clear liquid and then a scab which just doesn't seem to heal? I have something on my legs and back that looks a bit similar. Initially I was told it was a follicle infection and later I was told it was acne

I had guttate psoriasis last year , these look nothing like mine.

The slight hole in the middle is what is making me think it's like a bite?

Do you get more after a nights sleep? If you look closely at your bedding can you see any tiny red blemishes (blood spots?)

Over50andfab · 01/11/2018 23:27

OP I know you said not bites, but.....scabies??

Lojama75 · 01/11/2018 23:28

Shingles?

GoatYoga · 02/11/2018 06:25

It’s not shingles.

Did they swab for MRSA? I know you said you were treated for a staph infection, but MRSA wouldn’t usually be with flucloxacillin.

GreyGiraffespointyhat · 02/11/2018 07:08

I will check with the dr about mrsa
No they come up during the day mostly I did worry though and checkedthe mattress etc
The dr said it wasn’t scabies I’m just at a loss as it’s painful and unsightly

No it’s not like a pustule it’s more indented and the scab that tries to form is just yellow/green soggy and infected and will come off in the bath or shower so won’t heal

Google this... Dermatitis Herpetiformis
DC has it, the spots would just appear like wet burns, then scab over really quickly. DC had antibiotics and loads of creams before this was diagnosed.
Since being on a gluten free diet they've all cleared up.

ArfArfBarf · 02/11/2018 07:39

DH has lymphomatoid papulosis and it presents very similar to that. It’s really rare so took four different dermatologists to find one who could actually diagnose it. So it’s unlikely but when I read your description it sounds spot on.

thereallochnessmonster · 02/11/2018 10:14

Lol thereal !! You don't HAVE to have a sore throat prior, OP.

@Foodietoo - I'm not sure why you're laughing. Guttate P is often triggered by strep throat or another throat infection. See www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/psoriasis/guttate-psoriasis#2

FoodieToo · 02/11/2018 10:51

Apologies thereal!!

I was ‘lol’ at the fact we cross posted . I know it can start with a sore throat . If you read my post you’ll see that’s what started my husband’s case.

Sorry for confusion.

GreyGiraffespointyhat · 02/11/2018 16:56

Oh it really sounds like that Lymphomatoid papulosis 😳 wouldtnat mena that’s why I had reactive lymph gland show up on a scan ?? The skin problems started at same time ??

donajimena · 02/11/2018 21:06

Oh my god I've googled that and it fits my symptoms.

ArfArfBarf · 02/11/2018 23:07

I don’t know if it’s related to your lymph gland - I don’t think dh has/had that. It is pretty rare - 1 in 1 million+ but it’s worth asking your gp about (although they may not have encountered it before).

Ninjasan · 02/11/2018 23:42

Anything like this one? www.nhs.uk/conditions/molluscum-contagiosum/

Gohackyourself · 03/11/2018 07:26

Ninjasan I was thinking the same, they sound like molluscum contagiousum.
My son is finally recovering from this after having them nearly a year.
We had to get molloudab from chemist and tried on one spot, which made it violently pussey.it erupted and then started chain reaction on rest.
You must change clothes, towels and bedding daily too.

GreyGiraffespointyhat · 03/11/2018 08:32

I asked the dr about molluscum and they said it wasn’t as they see it a lot
