My 18 month old DS and I are attending a rhyme time session tomorrow morning which is being held at a local care home for the elderly. Its the first of its kind there. I think its off the back of 'old folks home for 4 year olds'.

I'd like to take a couple of big, share size boxes of biscuits along for the residents. Is that allowed? Or not because they're unhealthy, potential problems for those on special diets, etc.?

Tia!

I don't work in one now but I have in the past. If you really want to make friends I'd take one for the residents and one for the staff Grin

I've never come across any rules banning biscuits at care homes, I think there would be a revolution if anyone tried that. I hope you have a lovely time!!

That’s a lovely idea, about the biscuits and the whole idea altogether there should be more of these events everywhere!
If you give the biscuits to the staff and explain you brought them for the patients they will be know if anyone has any special dietary needs etc.

Thank you both! I will take boxes for everyone and hand them straight to the care team! Grin

I'm really looking forward to it! I know my DS will love it as he adores singing groups but he also gravitates towards grandparent age people. I hope he does tomorrow too!

What a lovely idea. Who organised it? Would like to suggest something like this for where I live.

Good idea biscuits for staff. I’m sure the residents will appreciate it too! smile]
