Somebody recommend a Skateboard for 7yo?

I'm totally confused.
I was thinking a complete board but stuck beyond that. I suggested the idea last year to GPs but he ended up with something really cheap, far too small, thats never been used. So he has a helmet etc

I'm weary of getting it wrong again.

It will be used around the streets, maybe skate park.

penny boards?

Don't get a pennyboard if he's wanting to skate properly. Whats your budget and how tall is he?
If you have a local skateshop though, take him in, they will help get the right one!

He's about 117cm, budget £50 but could stretch to get the right board.

define "properly" If he is just cruising around and not doing tricks its about perfect.

If he is going to ride it to school or out for the day, when he isn't using it it will strap neatly to his backpack.

If he is doing tricks he needs something else to learn on.

But I agree that going to a skateshop is a good idea.

Its most likely to be used bumming around on the drive or skatepark.

Truthfully he spends far too much time indoors and i'm trying to encourage more active play.
