If you have a wool duvet

Do you like it? Is it better than a feather/ down one? What tog do you use?
We've lost our winter duvet. The shed seems to have swallowed it, so might need to get another before i freeze to death (brrr)

I love it. So much lighter, I felt trapped by my old one!

Just bought one for my toddler, he hasn't noticed any change! It is noisier than his old one, it sort of rustles.

I love mine. I have a lightweight baavet (I think it's supposed to be equivalent to a summer weight duvet, maybe 4.5 tog?) My bedroom has been down to 12 degrees recently and I've had the duvet and a blanket and I've been toasty warm. In the summer it's comfy up to 22-23 degrees.

I love ours. I can't remember what tog it is, but we use it all year round without any need for extra covers or anything.

gobbin · 01/11/2018 21:18

We have a mediumweight Baavet approx 10 tog. It’s brilliant in providing breathable warmth without sweat. It’s not light, it hangs rather than tucks around you, but it’s fab for spring and autumn.

Also have a feather and down 7 tog IKEA duvet for summer and a John Lewis 100% goose down duvet (12 tog) for winter. These are both super light, breathable and warm.

All are outstanding duvets in fairness. Apart from tog rating, the only difference is their weight when draped. The wool one is noticeably heavier, which you may or may not like.

I used to have one. It was brilliant, looked like very thick blanket. Kept me warm in the winter and cool in summer. Wish I could afford it again, sure it would cure DH from his night sweats

HashTagLil · 01/11/2018 21:39

I've had mine for two weeks. I got the heavy, winter weight one and LOVE it! My feet are no longer cold and I no longer wake up in a menopausal sweat every night. DH doesn't get too hot either.

I love the weight of it too.

Ofthread · 01/11/2018 21:39

I have a winter weight one, it’s very heavy and very sweaty I find.

HashTagLil · 01/11/2018 21:40

Got ours from Soak and Sleep. Came up in a Which survey.

RandomMess · 01/11/2018 21:43

Love it mi e is from soak and sleep too.

Minimammoth · 01/11/2018 21:47

I have just changed my bedding to old fashioned, sheet and wooden blankets, and I love it. Sleeping much better temperature controlled.

Minimammoth · 01/11/2018 21:47

Woollen, wooden would be a bit harshGrin

I have a Baavet medium weight. It is glorious and was worth every penny. I've had for over a year now and I honestly wouldn't buy any other kind of duvet now. I'm hankering after wool pillows as well.
