Is she taking the Benylin Cold & Flu Max Strength Capsules or 4Flu tablets?

britnay · 01/11/2018 20:36

Benylin don't do ones that are just called Cold and Flu, so knowing exactly what she is taking will help people answer.

Yes she can take stugeron with these ... it can cause drowsiness ... so just be aware .. and it's 2 tablets two hours before travel ... but dosage will be on back of box

britnay · 01/11/2018 20:53

Ah, well strictly speaking she shouldn't be taking those as they are not suitable for under 16's (see dosage instructions).

Travel sickness tend to cause drowsiness as a side effect, so I personally wouldn't team them with something that contains stimulants. However from what I've read Cinnarizine doesn't interact with the ingredients in those capsules.

thelionessqueen · 01/11/2018 21:21

Both of those medications can be taken by children over the age of 12 ...

leopardprintchick · 01/11/2018 21:44

Chemist gave them to us, says over 12's on box

Sorry, I thought you meant these www.benylin.co.uk/products/benylin-cold-flu-max-strength-capsules

I'd get advice from the pharmacist really OP but assuming it is fine and she does, it'll potentially make her very drowsy, though the benylin has caffeine in do who knows! I did similar recently and was shocked, I was a passenger of course, not driving, but I conked right out after 15 mins- and I'm not someone who can sleep in the car. Annoyingly it actually made me feel sick I think Hmm. She could try some of those travel bands you put on the wrists?
Hope your DD gets well soon Flowers
