Help me choose which chair?

I'm fitting out my new therapy room for counselling clients. Which chair would you rather sit in? I'm torn between the two. I'll have additional cushions for comfort.

I think the first one, but they’re both nice.

y0rkier0se · 01/11/2018 17:16

First one

NameChangeToAvoidBeingFound · 01/11/2018 17:32

First is more inviting, the other is not.

Justmuddlingalong · 01/11/2018 17:33

1st one.

Imknackeredzzz · 01/11/2018 17:37

1st one! The 2nd looks very uninviting

WitchyMcWitchface · 01/11/2018 17:39

2nd
First had too many studs , bad design

Guiltypleasures001 · 01/11/2018 17:40

I say the second because of the higher back and giving a more secure feeling, but the cushions a bit thin to sit on. Not sure of the colour for usage especially on the arms and getting grubby from people rubbing their hands on them.

ShirleyPhallus · 01/11/2018 17:41

2nd one, cos it looks more like you could lay your head backwards on it all therapy like

Gazelda · 01/11/2018 18:07

2nd because of the higher back.

Justkeeprollingalong · 01/11/2018 18:13

Are they of similar cost?

Lamey · 01/11/2018 18:24

Very close in cost, yes.

First one for me too. Looks much comfier and more inviting. Less formal.

Lamey · 01/11/2018 18:28

This one was my first choice, but when I went to try it out in the shop it nearly tipped over backwards! Shame because I liked the look of it, but I can't have an unstable chair..

I think second one looks comfier but that is because I have a bad back and it looks more supportive.

WhereYouLeftIt · 01/11/2018 18:32

I prefer the second, I like a higher back to a chair.

Woffulu · 01/11/2018 18:34

1st one

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 01/11/2018 18:39

1st one. Nicer style IMO

3boysandabump · 01/11/2018 18:40

First looks far comfier

Leeds2 · 01/11/2018 18:50

I prefer the first one too.

olderthanyouthink · 01/11/2018 18:55

First one looks nicer

YouAreMyRain · 01/11/2018 19:07

2nd one, higher back so it supports the head and neck and also provides more of a sense of "containment" and security

claracluck78 · 01/11/2018 19:11

Go find a nice old leather club type chair from an auction or antique dealer. It will already be 'worn in' and feel much more relaxing and welcoming

MiniMum97 · 01/11/2018 19:16

The comfier one with head support. Design isn't really important.
