Ford kuga

Does anyone have one? Our Volvo v50 is given up the dust so we need a new car. I absolutely love our Volvo, but it’s gone through so many tires! Husband does 50 miles a day driving and roughly 40000 miles in 2 years.

We are thinking about the food kuga (I really want the xc60 but way out our budget 😫😫)

So, does anyone Have the kuga? Is it nice? 😫

Tiguan?
Is that more expensive sorry I'm a bit naive

I have recently got a 14 plate kuga titanium x and love it!

That’s the one we are thinking of getting! Is there much leg room in the back?

There's plenty, although I currently have two big car seats in the back with isofix bases so a bit hard to judge! The boot is fab, lots of space for a double buggy and a dog!

Considering the mileage your DH does, get a Japanese car like a CRV or RAV4, both of which are bigger and more reliable than the Kuga and dogshit Tiguain.

Kuga is nothing special. Heck, even an Kia Sportage would be on my list of cars to consider.

I had a Kuga titanium and loved and miss it ....bigger boot than CRV ,wanted a bigger boot for the dog ( though he ended up in the bag seat !)lots of room in back seat

I tried the kia sportage but it was so uncomfortable in comparison to the kuga. However my kuga is 4x4 so goes through diesel pretty quickly!

FartingInTheFence · 01/11/2018 20:15

@jigster01 - every car website I have seen clearly shows the CRV has much more volumetric space than the Kuga.

Your statement is wholly void and wrong I'm afraid.

Going to look at one today! I can’t believe how much more you get for your money than the xc60

I’ve had a 2012 plate kuga and currently have a 2018 plate kuga. In between those cars I had a Seat ateca. All of them manual 2 wheel drive. I have nothing bad to say about the kugas, great boot space, lovely drive but the Ateca just ticked every box for me. We changed it because it was so thirsty! It was a 1.0 eco boost and was fine to poodle around the shops but any more than that and you could literally see it drinking fuel! My DFIL has had a few kugas now (in fact, he won’t drive anything else) and he does around 500 miles a week just commuting and has never had an issue with tires or bad fuel consumption

We've a 16 plate and really love it. My husband was a bit snobby about it but also loves it. Lots of room in it and a lovely drive.

AlessandroVasectomi · 02/11/2018 08:43

My only niggle with the Kuga is that when you fold the rear seats flat (which I do frequently for load lugging), there is a step between the boot floor and the folded seats. Awkward when you want to slide items forward into the extended boot space. I don’t own one but I had one as a courtesy car while my own car was in dry dock. I liked the high driving position and it was a comfortable car, but I found the infotainment system a bit lacking and it was quite thirsty.

Ladymargarethall · 02/11/2018 09:15

We replaced our Galaxy with a Kuga. Boot is miles smaller and we miss that. However seats really comfortable, adequate space for four adults. And very easily available ( or common as muck).

Bought it 🙈 16 plate titanium x, it’s beautiful 😍😍
